Joseph Adrien “Ray” LaPlante
Born December 15, 1925 in Lachine, Quebec, Canada

A “Class of 1969” inductee, Ray LaPlante is fourth all-time in assists (281), sixth all-time in points (425), eighth all-time in goals (144) and eighth all-time in games played (425) in Reds history.
LaPlante skated for Providence from 1946 to 1953 and was a member of the club’s 1948 Calder Cup championship team. He also centered the top line as a member of the Montreal Royals in the Quebec Hockey League (QHL) when they captured the coveted O’Connell Trophy in 1955
