Over the years there have been so many gratifying things about putting in the hard work to produce a joyful and memorable Reds Reunion weekend each Summer. Perhaps the most gratifying have been the many letters and emails from the Reds\u2019 family and local fan base thanking the Heritage Society for remembering their loved ones and favorite players – our hockey heroes – and keeping those memories alive.<\/p>\n

Our focus now is on continuing to chronicle and celebrate the history and achievements of the Reds and its players and preserving those memories for generations to come. One way is through this comprehensive New Website<\/strong> and our Quarterly Newsletters<\/strong>, now made available to all RI high school hockey players as a reminder of where their passion for the game stems from. We also continue to administer our AHL Skills Tests<\/strong> to enable young players to assess their personal strengths and weaknesses in order to succeed at their next level of competition.<\/p>\n

Currently, we are planning a major RI Reds Exhibit<\/strong> for the proposed new RI Hockey HOF Museum while continuing to maintain and refresh our beautiful Kiosk Displays<\/strong> at the Providence Civic Center (now the AMP).<\/p>\n

In January of 2024, our Heritage Society joined with the RI Hockey Hall of Fame to produce the first RI High School All-Star Hockey Showcase Games,<\/strong> which were televised on NBC 10. More than 20,000 people, including college coaches & recruiters, saw the games in person or viewed them on YouTube or one of NBC 10’s eight different platforms. This year and in the years that follow, proceeds of the Showcase will be used to provide College Scholarships <\/strong>for graduating boys & girls hockey players.<\/p>\n

All of this comes with a cost and we are hoping you can reciprocate for all we\u2019ve done over the years and help us continue our volunteer mission while celebrating the rich history of the Reds and its players by advancing the game in their name.<\/strong><\/p>\n
