Bruce Cline, a great supporter of the Reds Heritage Society and one of the top scorers on the Reds\u2019 great 1955-56 Calder Cup team, was enshrined in the American Hockey League\u2019s Hall of Fame in 2016.<\/p>\n

A four-time Calder Cup winner, Bruce spent 13 seasons in the American Hockey League. Making his AHL debut in 1955-56, the Quebec native notched 57 points in 64 games, helping the Reds\u2019 turnaround from last-place finisher the year previous to Calder Cup champions.<\/p>\n

That magical season, Cline captured the Dudley (Red) Garrett Memorial Award as the AHL\u2019s outstanding rookie and played 30 games the following season with the New York Rangers, the only National Hockey League stint of his career.<\/p>\n

After three seasons with the Reds, he began an impressive four-year run with the Springfield Indians, where he was a key member of what many consider the greatest dynasty in AHL history. The Indians won three consecutive championships in 1960, 1961 and 1962, and Cline ranked among the league\u2019s top goal-scorers over that time. He was a 2-time All-Star.<\/p>\n

Bruce retired with 321 goals, including eight 20-goal seasons, and 452 assists in 823 regular-season games in the AHL. His 58 points in 89 games of Calder Cup playoff action rank among the league\u2019s all-time leaders.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
